Hi! I'm Amy and I'm so glad you're here. Picking someone to take pictures of your family can seem overwhelming since you're complete strangers. So here's a little bit about me.
I grew up in New York, went to college at Brigham Young University (graduated with a BS in Mathematics and minor in Business), and then moved to the California Bay Area for my first job as a finance anaylst. And that's where I met my husband.
We have lived in the Boston area for over seven years. We have three kids (twin boys and a girl) and we love to explore New England!
I am a sometimes shy extrovert. I'm a former rower, a list maker, and a terrible story teller. I play the cello (although unfortunately not as often these days), love watching movies, and have a huge sweet tooth.
I favor experiences over things every time. I love to travel and explore, even just in my own town. I am a firm believer in letting kids just be kids, so you can often find me at the park, on a walk, at the beach, or even visiting a farm.
ABOUT THE SESSIONS
My style is a mix of portrait and lifestyle. We will do the posed family pictures where everyone is smiling at the camera (we all need that picture for the holiday card!), but most of the time you will be interacting with each other. I aim to capture your real, authentic lives. You will tell jokes, play chase, tickle, and cuddle. I want to capture your family love, but also the details- the little hand pulling on your shirt sleeve, the shy smile when mom steps away, the way you and your spouse hold each other tight.
When photographing babies, I may do a few lightly posed shots, but again, my goal is to capture the interaction. Big sister with her new baby, the dog looking warily into the crib, mom trying to get a tight swaddle. Remembering how you are with each other at this time in your life. Those are the images and memories I want you to have forever.
